I had a forclosure a few months ago. I am single and planning to get married How will this effect my husbands credit once we marry. Can he still purchase a home with excellent credit history. Will the forclosure effect him, even if he wasn't on the foreclosure?
Thats for the help...

Hi Vfletcher...Welcome to Mortgagefit.
This may vary per state, and per lender. If the lender requires that your name be on the mortgage, then the foreclosure will show up. If the lender does not require your name on the mortgage, then you can just add your name on the title/deed.

Hi vfletcher!
If your name is not on the mortgage or on the deed, then your husband's credit will not be affected.
