Posted on: 26th Oct, 2008 02:40 am
I WAS NEVER "SERVED" A JUDGMENT BUT THEY SAY I WAS. I WASN'T IN COURT BECAUSE MY PAPERS SAID NOV AND IT WAS OCT. NOW 3 YRS LATER I STILL HAVE THE JUDGMENT O THERE.CAN'T PAY IT,LIVING ON DISABILITY.THEY WON'T TAKE IT OFF MY REPORTS BUT SAY "THEY WON'T PURSUE ME".HOW DO I GET THE TAKEN OFF MY REPORTS?
Hi slh!

Welcome to the forums!

As the judgment is showing on your report, I don't think it will be easier for you to remove it. I think, you should consult an attorney and take some legal advice.

Feel free to ask if you have further queries.

Hi slh!

I think Sussane is right. It will be better if you can consult a lawyer because as far as I know, you won't be able to remove it from the credit report. Though they will not pursue you but it will be mentioned in your report which will lower your credit score.

Thanks.
