Late payments due to accountant

Posted on: 25th Dec, 2008 09:57 pm
I'm a CEO of a company and all my bills are paid by an accountant. Everything from Credit card bills to mortgage payment to utilities etc. I never see those bills.
Recently the accountant fell ill and failed to pay my bills for two months. Everything from my mortgages to my credit cards were reported late. I had not know about this until I was traveling abroad and a credit card was declined.
Everything has since been caught up and is now back in good standing, however there is still 5 accounts that are listed that at one point I was 60 days late. Is there any way to get this fixed.
Hi Guest,

If you have paid off those 5 accounts and if they are current at present, then you can contact your lender and ask him to inform the credit bureau. Once the credit bureau is informed that you are current on those account, then, I think, they will update the credit report.

Thanks,

Jerry

late is late. you, as the borrower, are 100% liable for all debts incurred. jerry noted that the credit report will be updated - true, yes; but that doesn't mean that your creditors are likely to report you as having paid on time when in fact payments were late.

there's not much you can do about it except to hold firm, and be certain to take personal control of your finances. that doesn't mean you can't have an accountant make the payments, but you must become more aware of what's transpiring.
