Credit Cards

Can a credit card company place a lien on real property that I quitclaim deed to my husband? The credit cards are under my name, and I no longer have the ownership of the property.
Hi valleydrive,

If you no longer have the ownership of the property, then the credit card company will not be able to place liens on the property. However, if you have defaulted on the credit card payments, then you can either check out the option of debt consolidation or debt settlement. In debt settlement, 40%-60% of your payments will be reduced whereas in debt consolidation, the interest rates will be reduced. You can contact any of the debt consolidation companies and check out the options with them.

I know of a debt consolidation community - "debtconsolidationcare.com". You can visit their website and have a word with their financial coach. He may assist you in consolidating your debts.

Thanks,

Jerry
