Maintain a good credit score

Posted on: 27th Aug, 2009 04:42 pm
If you are not making timely payments of your credit card or any other bills, you may have a bad credit history. A low credit score means that you would not be able to fulfill your dream of buying a home or even a cellphone. An effective means to fix a bad credit is to look for credit repair services which allow you to get a better credit score

Hi wenzel!

Welcome to forums!

It's very important to maintain a good credit score. This would ultimately help a person to buy their dream home or a car for themselves or their families. Credit repair services can be of some help to improve credit score but as a consumer one should judge their credentials first and then go for their services.

It should also be noted that a new credit scoring system, FICO 08, has been introduced wherein minor delinquencies like an unpaid utility bill, library fines or parking tickets will be ignored when lenders judge the creditworthiness of the borrowers. The new scoring system is being used by the credit bureaus since the last month.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

is this a question or information about credit score

oh man...in contradiction to our first poster (wenzel), a credit repair company is not the main highway to a good credit score. if a person establishes credit accounts and then merely makes payments on time all the time, a good (and even better) credit score will result.

if financial difficulties cause a slipup in payments, the best person to correct that is the person him- or herself, by catching up as quickly as possible and then continuing to make payments in a timely manner.

self-help is, frankly, the best way. the next best way is to get assistance without having to pay for it. the last resort ought to be one of those agencies whose main thrust is its own bottom line.

hi wenz....
yes its true that credit history counts alot while dealing with financial insitituions on long run...if first time a person make his credit history bad then next time no financial institute will allow him or offer him/her any product not only home but any other product like credit card house loan, car loan, and all other products offered by financial institution...so always try to make ur credit history goood to avail all available options from that financial institution offering...keep it in mind ...thnx
