Hi there… I have some very old paid charge off and collections mentioned in my credit report. But now things are fine. Now this charge off shows as late pay from April 2012. I have called them and they says it's not late as far as they can see and she was sending a letter stating that. Then I can contact the CRA and have them update it. How much will this correction help to improve my scores?

It will not be possible to tell you as to how many points your score will improve. But it is a fact that if you are able to remove a negative item from your credit report, then it will definitely have a positive impact on your scores.

I agree with what Jerry has said. It is difficult to say as to how much the scores will improve. Moreover, it will take quite some time to reflect the impact of the deletion of the negative account on your credit report.
