In my attempts and small success as raising my credit score, I applied for some lines of credit just to be able to make timely payments. Three of the lines I received added 3 inquiries to my credit report. However, after receiving my report, I noticed that they don't report my on time payments to the bureaus. Their inquiries dropped my score, but there's no balance since my perfect history with them was never reported. I would like to ask them to remove their inquiries. It may not be customary, but I’ll give it a try anyway.
i think you'll have more success in trying to persuade them to report your payment performance. i wouldn't be optimistic about having a creditor remove an inquiry - even if it can be done.
George is right...the inquiries aren't going anywhere. You applied for credit, and they had permissible purpose to pull your reports. What kind of credit lines did you secure?
