Ways to repair bad credit!

Posted on: 26th Jun, 2009 01:27 pm
Hello everyone, I have been hearing about ways to repair bad credit and the services available online to help us make the right move in that direction. Though, I find that my credit score has been good enough, I would still like to know the services that help us in this regard.
self-help is by far the best way to go. it's free! you ought not to have to pay anyone for something you can do for yourself.

if you need to see your credit report, you can view it at annualcreditreport.com for free and you can see what improvements you might need to make.

keep your credit card balances at a minimum - such as 30% of credit limit, or less. don't go seeking too much new credit, as inquiries have an impact on your score.

since you say you're in good shape now, it would seem you know what to do already and that all you need to do is to continue doing that.

First and most important thing is that you should pay your credit cards bill before due date ,this will definitly helps you to improve your score.pay your debt regularly don switch your debt from one credit card to other it will lower your score.Never open to much accounts it wont help you to raise your score.Get your credit report monthly from authorized site so that you can monitor your report and you can improve your credit score.Always try to maintain your good credit history becuase your 30% credit score increases because of this.

There are several ways on how to repair bad credits.

1.Start making your payments for everything that you are responsible for on time.
2.Keep your credit cards at a maximum charge level of 30% and pay them off in full every month.
3.Dispute any and all negative items that show up on your credit reports.

John,

Welcoem to the forum

our credit score and report is based on the following

35% is based on payment history
30% Amount you owed
15% length of history
10% New credit
10% on types of credit

As you can see 35% is payment history, as you are making payment on time now, it will help you to improve the score quickly and the next 30% is how much you owed. As you keep making payment it will reduce the amoutn you owed helping again to improve your score and report.

15% is length of credit history - The longer it is the better. Aftre 7 years it is helps a lot

Good luck and feel free to ask

I have talked to one experienced mortgage broker and he told me that, for those who has too much debt , it is difficult to improve their credit in a short time. Some credit card repair company will do sth like customer credit consul ling service(do not remember the terms exactly) .He told me that either this consulling record or the bankruptcy record will be very bad that once lenders see either one of the two, it will be impossible for them to purchase sth large. I am not sure of what he says. Hope this helps.
