Loan Brokers: Are you working with a credit repair parter?

Posted on: 06th Feb, 2012 02:41 pm
Nowadays it seems everyone has a credit repair partner, or someone on staff who can help borrowers find the problem areas on their credit reports to raise their score enough to qualify for a loan.

So, my question to the mortgage brokers on the board: Are you using a credit repair partner? Doing it yourself? How are you helping your "credit-challenged" borrowers?

Hi murray!

Welcome to forums!

Rather than taking help of a credit repair partner, it will be better if you could take self help steps to improve your credit. You can check out the given page in order to know some of self help credit repair tips: http://www.mortgagefit.com/credit-rating/credit-repair.html .

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

Murray, I can only speak for myself and those with whom I worked when I was originating loans for borrowers.

In the office where I was working, we went out of our way to show our customers what they needed to do, what they could do, and how quickly they needed to get to it.

We reviewed the credit reports with our borrowers, going over every line that might have been a negative in order to assist them.

If someone is in this mortgage lending business long enough, he doesn't need to go outside his office to find a "credit repair partner" to advise his clientele. Presumably, there'd be a charge for that sort of thing, which is not favorable for a potential borrower who's trying to save as much cash as possible for use in obtaining a mortgage.
