how many days allowed before reporting my deliquent monthly payment

Posted on: 29th Aug, 2010 07:02 am
what is the maximum period am i llowed to delay my monthly payment before reporting me to credit report?
Hi ekineisg,

If you're 30 days late, then the lender can report the late payments to the credit bureau. Normally, if you pay the loan within the grace period, then it's not reported to the credit bureaus.

Thanks

Depending on what it is your paying you will have a grace period usually a few days up to 10 and they will not report you to the credit bureau till after 30 days.

A 30-day late is reported as such as soon as it takes place, but dependent upon the date on which the lender sends its information to the credit repositories. That could be a week later, two weeks later, even (potentially) as much as a month later (very rarely, though).
