Can you advise on what credit score I must have to buy a house in 2009
It should be more than 620. then you can apply for FHA loan
Thats correct 620 is required if you goign to do a FHA loan
But if you are goign to do a conventional loan, then you are lookign at atleast 720 to qualify for the loan

The minimum credit score requirement differs from lender to lender. I can lend down to a 550 credit score through my portfolio FHA product. Most require 600-620.
