Posted on: 29th Aug, 2007 07:07 pm
myfico scores:

EXPERIAN: 653 (BANK PULLS 649)
EQUIFAX: 580 (BANK PULLS 580)
TRANSUNIONS: 620 (BANK PULLS 553????????????)

Any ideas why my TU scores differ so much? I did submit an online dispute last night but I pulled my score again today and it is 623 but bank pulls 553????????

Brucewinaa,

what do you mean by banks scores here? as far as i know, a bank does not give such scores a credit reporting agency does.

sorry for being so vague ... I am referring to the scores that the bank pulled from the credit bureaus, equifax, experian, transunion.

Hi Brucewinaa,

Welcome to the forum.

Credit scores can differ as both are two different organizations. Every organizations has different scoring model based on which they fix the credit score. So it is quite likely that the scores may not match each other.

Hi Brucewinaa,

Have you informed these agencies to update your score?

I feel that your credit score is somehow not updated after you made your last payment. So the difference in score still exists.

No I have not. My main question is why the TU score that I purchased is 70 pts different from the TU score that the bank ordered? The other two scores from equifax and experian are within a few pts but the Transunion score is so different. I looked at the tradelines from the bank report and it is not all that different from the report I ordered so why the big difference.

Hi Brucewinaa,

Bank has pulled your credit report and after checking it created their own estimate of how much your score should come to according to the entries in your file.

As you have recently pulled your report which shows a higher score, take the report to the bank and match it with what they have pulled. If there are differences then tell them about it and I am sure they will revise the score they have derived themselves.
