Should I send a DV letter

Posted on: 19th Mar, 2013 11:57 pm
Hello everyone… We have a local collection company and I have 3 accounts with them and they use to be on my CR but must have fallen off but I still get letters demanding payment. Should I send a DV letter to them and get the proof of dates.
You may send them DV letter and ask for the required proofs. If they are unable to provide you with that, then you can send them a letter mentioning that they shouldn't contact you any further.

Yes, if those collection agencies fail to provide substantial proof that the debts are yours, then you can surely send them a cease and desist letter to stop them from contacting you for payments.
