Quit Deeds and Estates

My step mother signed a quitclaim when Dad bought his house. Dad has now passed without a will. Step-mom wants the house for herself and we will likely turn to the probate courts. This is my question please? the house will pass to Dad's "estate" holdings and Step-mom is entitled to a portion of this but as she signed a quitdeed, will she be entitled to part of the house now that it's a part of the estate or will the quitdeed provide her no portion? Thank you
hi,

when it goes to the probate court she is entitled to get a share in the property i believe as your deceased father's spouse even after signing the quit claim deed.

i think an attorney can suggest you well on this.

Curious,

Your query involves complicated legal points to be looked into and an attorney can only guide you with this better.
