Personal loan on Mobile home

Posted on: 16th Dec, 2005 08:27 am
I am trying to find a personal loan using my Mobile home as collateral. Our Mobile home is paid off and we own it. Value is probably around 55,000.00. We are looking to try to get a 10,000.00 dollar loan for repairs and improvement the only problem is our credit is not well at all. Is there any hope for us. We need a new roof and new windows and other needed work.
Having a good credit score can help you get a personal loan interest rates even if the planet Have you bad credit score then also many agencies are there to give you a loan may have a slightly higher interest rate.

Even with a bad credit score, there are options personal loans out there. If you look online, there are sites that offer them. Also, sometimes personal investors can help you with a peer-to-peer loan. Those are both great methods to finding a loan.

Hi Patricia!

Welcome to forums!

As you want to borrow a very small amount for home improvement, lenders might not be ready to give you a loan. It would be better if you could take out a personal property loan for the said amount.

Get ready for the old mobile home is not easy in those days. There are only a few lenders still offering loans mobile home. In addition, you have something negative on your credit file. This can be a big problem in your qualification for a loan.

I am unemployed and no longer qualified for unemployment. I own my mobile home and payments made on it during the mortgage period were excellent. My credit score stinks, to say the least. I am currently waiting on a decision from Social Security Disability. The local township is paying for $38,000 repairs to the home, including roof, carpeting, siding, doors.

I am wondering if there is any type of loan I might qualify for using my mobile home as collateral

Welcome RoseV,

As you don't have any kind of employment and you're not receiving social security benefits or unemployment benefits, you won't be able to qualify for any loan.

My bankruptcy is now almost 2 years discharged. My home and land were included as assets. Does that mean that the lender still considers the house and land as foreclosures? These properties have been in court for 2 years and still have not made it thru the court system yet to be sold. I know you have to wait for a few years after a foreclosure to get a loan, but since it was in the bankruptcy do I still have to wait 2 years after the properties are sold?

Hi Guest!

Welcome to forums!

Listing your property as assets in your bankruptcy filing does not mean that the property will be foreclosed by the lender. However, if you've included them in your filing, then you can surrender the property to the lender and ask them to sell them off asap.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
