Notarization of quit claim deed

Posted on: 26th Dec, 2005 09:52 am
does quick claim need to be notarized?
hi marty,

yes i feel notarization is required on a quit claim deed which makes the document authentic and true under approval by a public official or by a lawyer who is also the commissioner of oaths.

feel free to ask if you have any more doubts.

Hi Marty,

Welcome to MortgageFit Forums.

As soon as the deed is signed the title transfer takes effect and passes to the new owner. Due to this it is extremely important that it should be recorded in county's public records.

This the reason why you should make the quit claim deed notarized so that it will be accepted by the records office. So, my advice will be to involve a lawyer and make the deed notarized.

You can refer discussions on quit claim deed here for further reference.

God bless you.
