Hi Steve,

What problem are you in? Is this related to Geneva Roth? Kindly tell us more about the problem you are facing so that we can provide correct suggestion. Are they taking out money from your account? If it is so then talk with your bank on the procedure you need to follow to close your bank account. But in addition to it you should also contact the company and ask about the details of how much is left on the loan and how to pay it off in full so that they stop taking out money from your account.

If there is something else that is troubling you then please share it with it us.

Good day everyone, i'm in the same boat alot of these people are, after taking 540.00 out of my account over the last 3 months i put a block on this lender. I had received a loan in the amout of 300.00 and assumed that that 180.00 a month was going towards the principle. The last time it came out i tried to call someone and never got a human being, did get alot of busy signals. Imagine my surprise when they got in contact with me today at my place of work stating this was now in collections and they would settle the account if i agreed to pay them another 600.00. The person on the other end of the line kept repeating "didn't i read the contract." I would reply to him that i never agreed to an extention that is account should be paid in full and also that part of that 180.00 a month should have gone towards the princple. I told that there was no way i was giving them another 600.00, i agreed to pay the orginial 300.00. He informed me that i would have to send a fax desputing the other 360.00 in extention fees. They have tried taking almost 1200.00 for a 300.00 loan where can i turn to in Iowa because now i'm pissed and i don't quite know what the laws are. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Don't pay them anything else now. Ask them to give you account statement and check how much extra you have paid on the loan and tell them to refund what you have paid extra on the loan. You are not required to make any further payment on the loan.

Complain to Attorney General's Office in your state and also let this company that you have filed a complaint AG's Office.

I borrowed $300 from this company of August 6th and want to pay the full amountof $390 on August 17th. I have called the company and they said they would email me an extension form. The form is used to request the full amount of the loan be paid back. I have called FIVE times and each time the rep said they would email it to me. Guess what? NO EMAIL!! I am afraid this company is just going to start drafting $90 every payday. Any suggestions?

Debbie, extension form is not used for paying off the loan amount. I think you should be asking about refund form.

If they are not sending email then call on their number and contact their supervisor and tell them the whole matter. If even then they do not reply positively then contact your local BBB and AG's office and tell them about the problem. They will initiate necessary action so that the company takes proper steps in this regard.

Does anyone have the fax number to this company. They have been debting my husbands checking account that was suppose to to be closed, and we found out there is about 1000.00 over draft fees. We haven't done any payday loans but were told by the bank that this was the company doing it.

I am an attorney who is currently investigating a class action lawsuit against Geneva Roth Capital. If anyone can provide any information as to Geneva’s loans and collection processes, it would be greatly appreciated. I can be reached at sweisbrot@nrmlaw.com. Thank you.

Hi Steven,

Welcome on board.

If you go through some of the previous discussions on this http://www.mortgagefit.com/discuss/rioresource.html page, you will find how geneva roth is been dealing with consumers.

Let all of us hope that some action will be taken against them since a lawsuit has been started against them.

Hi Steven,

Welcome to the forums.

Finally we have someone really taking some action against Geneva Roth. We have had so many complaints listed here against the company; people are really fed up and the worst part is, the company cannot be traced at all. That's what worries people more because they don't now how and when Geneva Roth would take out money from their accounts.

But it is great to hear that you have taken the initiative. I hope the company no longer gets the chance to carry on their illegal activities.

Good luck to you. :)
