Hello, Is there downpayment assistants for scores lower than 580? I heard certain lenders were changing their criteria, where the buyer couldnt use gift funds.

It depends upon lenders as to whether they will allow you to use gift funds. Not all lenders will. Lenders mostly allow for down payment assistance from the non-profit organizations.

In which state do you reside? there are state-specific programs for down payment assistance to first time buyers. So, if you can give me the name of the state, then I shall be able to give you some detail of such down payment assistance available.
