hi, i live in florida could i notarize a quit claim deed from aunt to aunt? my grandmother died and left the home to my aunt lisa whom has a home elseswhere but want a particular sister to have her moms house but there are other siblings.
but on the deed the home was mathers name and the elder sister?
Welcome jodicunninghamgraham.

Usually deeds are notarized by notary public. Do you wish to remove your mother's name from the deed and add one of your aunts?

Thanks.

Since your mother is deceased and still on title, she cannot sign a deed to transfer title. To do that, you need a court order. Some states can do an "Affidavit of Heirship". Or you may have to go to Probate Court to probate your mother's estate. Check with a probate or real estate attorney.
