My husband and I split some years ago and hardly paid a dime. In the interim, I lost my house to forclosure and can no afford to pay the credit cards or hospital bills. At this junction, nothing has been paid for three years. I know after 7 years, they cannot come after me anymore to collect the debts owed, but do these stay on my credit report? Do I "wait out the storm" or file bankrupsy?
okay, js...is this a joke? you "hardly paid a dime" - what's that in reference to?
now, you've also lost your house to foreclosure and can't pay credit cards or hospital bills and have paid "nothing" in 3 years.

what "storm" is it that you think you're riding out? why would any creditor with half a brain take a chance on you?

forgive me if this seems harsh, but re-read your post and see if what you told us makes sense.
