my house has a sale date for 1/11/2010 I was working with a company call us foreclosure but they have stop calling or answering my messages I gave them a check . for 1500 back in June I was told not to contact. the . but in September i received a notice of default so I call the company they din.t call me . and when I finally call the bank they told me that they had just. received . the modification package about 3 weeks prior . what this company id from June till Sep they had my information and my money . now they really. wont have any thing to do with. me and I have to pay 35.00 to the bank that includes . attorneys fees. what do I do do I hire and attorney to stop my sale date and have the bank keep working on my modification. and who do I hire the the attorney have to work. very fast . to stop the sale. what do I do ?

what sort of company were you working with? a loan modification company that charged you $1500 to help you modify your loan? the company could be a scam company, which charges you money upfront, but offers you no help. you can hire a lawyer to represent your case in the court and put a momentary stop to the foreclosure. but there's no guarantee that the lawyer will be able to stop the foreclosure at this point in time. did you talk with the lender regarding a loan modification? have you considered the option of filing bankruptcy?

indeed, you need a lawyer, and you need to contact your state's attorney general's office about that modification scam! do it today
Look for a lawyer asap! This could delay your sale date.
hopefully, anthony, within the last 25 hours (28 now) since i posted, a lawyer has surfaced in this situation.
