Hi! I have a family member who never received a foreclosure notice.He only found out because his name was in the paper. Is there anything he can do about this?

It is necessary for the lender to send a foreclosure notice to the borrower before foreclosing the property. I would suggest your family member to contact the lender. If the lender is unable to give a proper answer, then he/she can fight it out in the court.

here's a question...did your family member not know that he was delinquent on the mortgage? i mean...was this a complete surprise?
