Hi tamtam,

Welcome to this forum.

Geneva Roth is nothing but a loan shark company. I have heard about their illegal activities before from our community members. Their email address is "tjohnston@loanpointusa.com" and their phone number is (800) 351-8820.

There is a big discussion about their illegal actions and how people have been harassed by them. You can check it out- http://www.mortgagefit.com/discuss/rioresource.html

Feel free to ask our community if you have any further questions.

Thanks,
Larry

Hi,

It was good that you caught them before they could draw the money from your account.

Were they trying to take out money as soon as the deposit was made?

I just caught that this company has scammed me. Put money in my account and now they are taking money fro me. Since they have vital info about me, should I watch that they don't open credit card accounts, etc using my info?

Hi,

Oh God! Are they opening account on your name with the information that they about you. It seems like they can do any thing. Numerous complaints are coming against Geneva Roth. There illegal actions should be stopped. You should lodge a complaint against them in your local attorney general's office.

Take care,
Larry

I closed my bank account in case geneva roth tries to get more money from me. Has anyone ever had them try to access their account under another business name to try to get passed the block I put on my account?

Does Geneva Roth also operate under the name "American General Financial Services?"

My bank refunded the 300.00 that geneva roth deposited into my account. Am I done with them now?

Hello Alison,

Did you apply for any loan with them?

I suppose there are documents to prove that your bank has already refunded the money to the company. If they try to pull money from your account, you should complain against them. If required, you may also consult an attorney and take his advice.

I'm not sure if they are also working under the name 'American General Financial Services'. But as far as I know, they also work under the name Loan Point USA.

I may have applied for a loan. But I was never informed that I received a loan, and was never told the terms and payment amounts. Either way, I closed my bank account and my bank refunded 300 back to them.

Hello Alison,

So that's the issue. There are many people in this forum who complain that they had been viewing their loan program and after some time received the loan without even applying for it.

Geneva Roth is such a company that they might harass you even after receiving the money from your bank.

I'm sorry, I'm not understanding what you're saying jenkin7. I am going to get proof from my bank that they credited the money back to Geneva Roth. I never applied for a payday loan. I applied for personal loans but was denied. Next thing I know, there's 300 in my bank and 2 weeks later a debit for 90. Any thought on how I should proceed? I've contacted the Us attorney general. The NJ attorney general did not want to help me, referred me to US attorney general. I am going to contact the Kansas and Missouri AG.

Alison,

I think you are on the right way. It's better to file a complaint with the US Attorney General before Geneva Roth again withdraws cash from your account illegally. Fine, you appraoched them but you didn't accept the terms, so how come they deposit the money. God it's ridiculous!

I am done with them thank god! Since I caught it so soon and had my bank send the money back my "loan"has been closed. U should have heard them try to fight with me though. They told me that they emailed me the agreement, which they did not. They told me that they called me at work to verify that I wanted the loan, they did not. I have learned my lesson. I wish anyone who has an acct with them luck. They will need it. And be pro-active, don't let them intimidate you!
