Accounts to go into positive status

Posted on: 09th Aug, 2011 11:40 pm
What does this mean when someone says accounts to go to positive status? I have 2 credit cards – one with a credit union that I opened in 1996 and the other is a revolving home depot credit card that I opened in 2003. One of the credit reporting agencies state that "As of April 2014, these accounts are scheduled to go to a positive status." The other credit reporting agencies don't make this statement in the Remarks.
Hi Julianna,

I am assuming that your last 30 day late payment was 7yrs ago. If that is the case, then the account will be reporting as a positive account soon. Even though the other 2 credit reporting agencies don't have the remark listed in your credit reports, this account will still be considered as a positive one. You should note that the credit bureaus will show late payments for 7yrs. After that, the account turns from reporting Negative to reporting as Positive. Congratulations to you for that!! :)

Take care.
