I'm from NY and as per the laws here, the paid negatives only report for 5 years whereas unpaid negatives report for 7 years in this state which is more or less same like the other states. I want to know that does an account which is included in BK fall under the 5 or 7 year rule.
As far as I know, bankruptcy trade lines remain unpaid. So, those accounts will remain in your credit report for the next 7 years.
