In order to add your wife's name to the mortgage, she will have to be one of the owners of the house. If you wish to add her name to the title, then transfer the title from you to you and your wife. It's up to you to decide how you will hold the title to your property – whether you want undivided shares or each of you wish to occupy a certain percentage of the property.

Hi,

I have heard one of my friends adding his name to the mortgage justy the way caron said. Why refinance and spend a lot of cash on mortgage fees when there is already an option available.
