my ex married in elsalvador in 2009 how can he divorce his wife without going back to el salvadfor

Hi Deborah,

Your ex needs to consult a divorce attorney in this situation. Since the marraige took place in El Salvador, I'm not sure if the divorce laws prevalent in the United States will apply to this case. A divorce attorney is the right person to answer your query.

Thanks,

Jerry

Hi

A friend of mine who is a British Citizen and has lived in the UK most of his life, was forced into a marriage about 4 to 5 years ago to a lady from Bangladesh. His wife has now been living in the uk for about 2 years, although they do not live together. Because she was not his choice, he wants to divorce her. How would he go about getting a divorce? As the marriage took place in Bangladesh, under their laws is he able to consult a lawyer in the UK? Although the marriage was forced, he never consulted anyone about this so I don't think he could just anul the marriage with a Nulity Petition so would be a full divorce. Is this correct?

Hi Sara,

A divorce lawyer would be the best person to answer your queries. Your friend should consult a lawyer based at UK and try to get his suggestions regarding the divorce.

Thanks,

Jerry

I am a mother of a 4 and 2 year old. My boyfriend(my childrens daddy)we have been together for 7 years. Problem is he is married in mexico, but he and wife have lived here in Texas. They have been seperated before I met him. Can he file for a divorce here in Texas on his own without an attorney(no minor children, (28 and 26 yrs.old), no assets. Have her last address.

Welcome becky,

A divorce attorney will be the best person to answer this query. I would suggest your boyfriend to contact a Texas based divorce attorney and take his opinion in this matter.

Hi rose!

Welcome to forums!

If you've the divorce papers, then it will be recognized in Argentina as well. Nevertheless, it will be better if you and your husband contact an Argentina based attorney and take his opinion in this matter.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.

I married my husband whose an American Citizen. Few months after the wedding he started to act bizarrely. I decided to go home to my country without getting an American Citizenship. My country does not allow divorce, how can I file for a divorce for someone who is in the other side of the world?

Well... this question will be better answered by a divorce attorney. You should contact a divorce attorney and take his opinion in this matter.

I'm having problems with my teen-age son; any advise for a single mom?

Madison, is there a man in your life at all? If so, that person might be strong enough or sensible enough to speak with your son and iron out whatever problems there may be. If you don't have a man you can count on, how about a church relationship? If you're involved with church, I'm sure you could seek out someone to help there, too. Another option, I suppose, would be his school and any counselors they might have there.

Counseling in general is a good idea if you can obtain it.

Teenage years are tough on familial relationships. I hope you can get someone to assist you who has some experience with teens and what they go through.
