I need a new roof and to consolidate debt but when I talked to my lender they said that I needed a credit score of 680 to be considered. I am going to school full time on student loans and my wife makes 26k a year. My credit card payments amount to 700 per month and a 20 k loan would fix the roof and pay off credit cards. My student loans are paying the majority of my mortgage payments and my wifes income is covering the rest-barely. My house is worth 225k and owe 113 on mortgage. How can I get a loan? Someone please help any suggestions would be great! P.S. I have no late payments on anything, my score is so low because of maxed out credit cards. I believe if I paid those off my score would rise significantly, but that is not possible with current income.
