jointly own one piece of property via marriage with several individuals. property has not been divided. one wants to get "my part" deeded over. After spouses (currently living together) of all relatives have refused to sign. Person obtained a new Quitclaim deed without the spouses and plans to proceed. Can she do this?
terra,

you can transfer your share of ownership to her using a quit claim deed. such a deed is quite frequently used for transferring property interest. in your situation you will be making the deed to transfer only your share in the property to her.

You have ownership over some part of the property and can transfer that portion to her using a quit claim deed.

On the deed you will be required to sign as the grantor and it will be specified that you are transferring your share of ownership to her.

Welcome terra,

Hope you don't mind but your case isn't quite clear to me? Are you thinking whether someone can forcefully deed over your porperty?

Without the consent of the person owning a share of interest, no one can deed over the interest. Think carefully before you sign on any such deed.
