Hi Carl,

If you mean to say how to properly complete the transfer of ownership using a quit claim deed then I can tell you something about it.

After filing up the deed form, you will have to get it notarized and recorded at the county recorder's office. You should consult an attorney in this regard. After the deed gets recorded ownership transfer will be complete.

But if you meant something else then please provide some more clarification then I can give you better answer. You are saying that the quit claim deed has been executed that is why it is a bit confusing.

If the quit claim deed is created properly and notarized then as soon as it is recorded, the property transfer becomes a publicly known fact. To enforce the deed you just need to complete all the steps.

There are no special requirements to be fulfilled for enforcement of the deed.

Hi Miller,

I think Carl wants to know where to record the deed so that it is legally valid.

Well, Carl I hope you got the answer frrom Miller's post. Anyway, just mentioning it once again;

The transfer of property through such a deed will be effective once it gets recorded at the office of the County Recorder or the Register of Deeds.

You will get to know how it is recorded when you approach the County Recorder's office.

Thanks,

Caron.
