my parents passed away the property was in all three of our names. what should i do to get it in my name only? i live in fl
you mean your parents along with you were on the title?

Did they make any will?

If they did not make any will then property will now be divided as per laws of intestate succession as applicable in Florida.

But if they left a will then those who are named will get the property.

celaa if your parents left a will then it will go through the probate process, after which property will be divided as mentioned in the will.

James I think Celaa meant that she and her mom & dad owned the property together, and now she wants to get full ownership after their death.

May be you are correct Pastore. Perhaps Celaa meant that the property title had her name along with that of her parents. Well in that case, either she needs to find out if there is a Will on the property or else she should consult an attorney and aproach the court for a distribution of the property by Intestate Succession.
