What are the procedures for adding an additional name to a deed?

The owner of the property will have to fill out a new deed in order to add another name to the deed. If your property is free and clear, then you can use a warranty deed in order to add another name to the property deed. If there's a mortgage on the property, then you can use a quitclaim deed to add the name.
