I am based at Illinois, My name is mentioned on the deed but not on the mortgage docs. What type of financial responsibilities do I have toward the property?

You may be responsible for the maintenance of the property but you will not be liable for the mortgage.

You are not responsible for the mortgage - however if there is a mortgage and it does not get paid you will have no way of preventing a foreclosure - again not your responsibility but something to be aware of -
