I would like to know what I should go for if I want a home owners insurance. Has anyone heard about HomeTec from Texas?...

I have not dealt with HomeTec in Texas. But before you go for a home owne insurance, you should do some research and then make an informed decision. You take suggestions from your friends or can contact your state insurance department. Check the consumer guides, avail online insurance quote services to get an idea about how much the insurance policy will cost you. You can also check out the website of National Association of Insurance Commissioners at "http://www.naic.org/" to find out an insurer in your state and if there are any consumer complaints against them.
