Hi Margarett,

Welcome to Mortgagefit,

So in this situation the person who is having 4/5 stake in the property is no more.and other siblings do not wish to take hold of the property....

My proposition is, whether the property can be rented or not? If the property can be rented then from the income of the rental property you can pay the taxes and thus it will not be from your own pocket...even if there is marginal profit, you should opt for it.

But if the property can not be rented then you can donate his property to any of the social organisation in your area and thus get releived from paying the taxes thereon..

Feel free to ask any further quer if you have.....
