Welcome Eirons.

The property can only be transferred provided you have the legal rights on it. Now, if the dead person has left a Will, it may go through probate and then property will be distributed as per the statement in the Will. So, if your name is on the Will, you will get the ownership of the property. But for that, you need to talk to the person's attorney.

However, fthe the person has left no Will, the state may decide upon the distribution of his estate as per the laws of Intestate Succession.

For more details on this issue, refer to a discussion held by the community on How to get deceased owner's property with no Will .

Thanks.
