You need to contact the local housing authority, through which you applied for the Section 8, to know the current status of your application. Contact them in person or call them. They should be able to provide you with the information you are looking for.

aaros, if you do a simple internet search you ought to be able to come up with the number you need to call...just plug in, for example, "houston housing authority" or "sacramento housing authority" or substitute any town/city name and click "send." i'm sure you'll find a phone number that will work for you.
