I am buying a house. My dad said he would co-sign on the loan, but wants the title to be in my name only. Can my dad can cosign on the loan without his name being on the title?
Hi txprincess,
As far as I know, it is not mandatory for the co-signer to be on the title of the property. However, it will also depend upon your lender. If the lender wants your father (the co-signer) to be on the title, then you need to add him to the property deed.
Thanks
