My wife and I are currently in escrow to purchase a HUD home, our lender has requested my ok for the 4506-T, they are going to pull the tax years for 08-07.
My problem is, I did not file an 07 return. It's the only year in my adult life that I did not file and I am biting my nails to see how this will all end. The plan was to use the the tax credit to get everything straight, which I know is kinda like planting the corn before tilling the soil. To complicate the matter even more, my wife doesn't know ..it was a year before we married and at that time I was in complete financial shambles. Now, a few years later, with a better paying government job and some stability, I don't know what to do.
