I doubt whether lenders would give loans over $750K and up to $4 million. Keeping in mind the present market situation, I don't think lenders would give such huge amount of loans. And if any lender agrees to give such a huge amount of loan, they would expect you to have excellent credit history and income.

there does exist a mortgage market for loans such as you describe, especially in the $1 million and less range; but also up to and beyond $4 million. what would be required for these extra-large jumbos would be substantial post-closing reserves, net worth, etc. i am not aware of any particular credit score requirement, but i surmise that you'd have to have a terrific credit report as well. you're welcome, of course, to inquire further.

I actually know a couple lenders that still go upwards of 3 mil. You do have to have great credit as well as a low LTV. But they DO exist.
