outstanding unpaid items and VA loan

Posted on: 27th Aug, 2012 01:46 am
I am trying to get my scores in the range to get a pre-approval from the VA lenders I have been looking at. My main concern though is will I be able to get the loan with the scores if I have certain outstanding unpaid items on my credit report?
Most lenders require a minimum credit score of 620 and at least one year mortgage history with no late payments for a VA loan. By the way, what is your credit score.

It will be better if you paid off the outstanding unpaid items on your credit report. Paying off the outstanding amount will make it easier for you to qualify for any kind of loan quickly and without any issues.

Here your credit score and the amount of outstanding unpaid loan amount will be the key to determine your eligibility to get approved for the VA loan.
