JUST PURCHASE 8/07 THE LAST 6 MONTHS THE MORTGAGE COMPANY IS TELLING US THAT THEY PAID TAXES DUE!!!!! THEY SAID THE CITY CONTACTED THEM AND SAID THE TAXES WERE DUE. MIND YOU AT THE CLOSING TO CHECKS WERE ON THE TABLE ONE CITY AND COUNTY AND NOT DUE UNTIL THE FOLLOWING YEAR . WE HAVE THIS IN WRITING SEVERAL TIMES WEVE CONTACTED THE TITLE COMPANY AND THEY HAVE ALSO FAXED THESE DOCUMENTS TO THEM. SO THEREFORE OUR MORTGAGE HAS GONE UP BECAUSE OF THERE ERRORRR AND WHEN WE TALK TO THEM THEY ACT LIKE I'M PAYING THEM PERSONALY EVERYONE IS SO STUPID THEY HAVE THIS INFO. JUST LIKE WE DO THEY SAY THERE WAITING FOR THE CITY TO GIVE BACK THE MONEY UNTIL THEN WHAT!!!!!!!!!!1
Hi alvin,

Welcome to the forum.

I think you should consult with a Tax attorney on this. If there is any due tax you should pay it. But are you saying that the lender has paid the due tax for you? Why would he going to pay it fir you. I should suggest you not to pay anything without consulting with a Tax Attorney.

Best of luck,
Larry

alvin, you posted this question twice.

larry, a tax attorney is likely to deal with income taxes and not local property taxes. i think a real estate attorney is far more knowledgeable in this instance.
