My name was spelled wrong on the deed of my house in NJ. It was spelled as Phillip instead of Philip. How can I correct this misspelling?

Thanks

In 2001 my inlaws subdevided 1.1 acres to me and my wife and we built a house on it. In 2005 the inlaws wanted to put my wife and her son on the remaining land that our 1.1 came from. Two weeks ago my wife and I applied for a new home loan a a cheaper rate and when the did the deed search they found out that the attorney and planning com. combined my land and the rest and my name is no longer on the deed. Can they do that without me signing and what leagle action should I do.

Hi kevin!

Welcome to the forums!

Unless you sign the deed, your name cannot be removed from the property deed. If such a thing has happened, then you may take legal actions against the concerned authorities.

Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
