Hi jeffszulinski!
Welcome to forums!
If a person receives Social Security benefits, then his/her creditors are prohibited from garnishing the benefits. Creditors may not garnish Social Security benefits for a variety of debts, such as credit card bills, personal loans, car loan notes or a home mortgage obligation. As far as I know, only child support, IRS, student loans or other government backed loans can attach social security.
Feel free to ask if you've further queries.
