removing a mobilehome from unincumbered property

Posted on: 18th Aug, 2011 08:23 am
My question is this. If a mobilehome is foreclosed on but the land upon which is situated is not part of the debt, when they attempt to remove it can they destroy land improvements, such as trees, pools, landscaping, sidewalks, arbors, etc and not be responsible for damages? They home is in Georgia.
Hi michaelseckinger,

They cannot destroy the land improvements and even if they do so, they will have to pay for it. They will be responsible for the damages done to the property. They can only take over the property.

Thanks
