WHY WOULD MY CREDIT REPORT SHOW 3 DIFFERENT MORTGAGES RUNNING AT SAME TIME?

Posted on: 16th Jun, 2009 10:05 am
my credit report showed 3 different mortgage companies ,different loan numbers, one was referred to as a conventional real estate, cash purchase, first mortgage. the three ran consecutively for months while we continue to carry the mortgage with the higher of the monthly payments, referrenced to the cash purchase. my husband denies any knowledge of such. i remember when he refused to refinance from a 7% to 4.25%. am astounded at all the lines of equity and 2nd mortgages he took out over the years without my knowledge.
Hello,
The only way to find the status of the accounts listed on your credit report is to investigate. Use the reports to contact the mortgage companies listed to make your inquiries. You will be entitled to inquiring with these creditors as these accounts are connected to your social security number. If the accounts are erroneous, there is a process to correct the information with the credit bureaus. If you feel there has been fraudulent activity, place fraud alerts on your credit with all the bureaus. In addition, check your credit reports with all the bureaus as the report may differ from one bureau to another.
Good luck.
