addding a friend on the loan after loan modification is done

first of all - please don't post the same question 4 times; it's wasteful and confusing to others who might have a similar question, or who are simply seeking advice. of course, this question is so off the wall i doubt anyone else has it in mind.

why in the world would you want to mess with a loan that you're obtaining a modification on? at the end of the modification period - assuming it ends - do you think the lender isn't going to want to revert back to a different plan; perhaps the original? wouldn't they be a bit concerned that you've arbitrarily monkeyed with their loan, and the property on which their loan is secured?

there's no way you have any business doing what you wish to do in this case.

a loan modification is an adjustment in terms of your loan so no you can't add anyone to the loan or take them off, you have to refinance it to do that.

loan modification is done by your mortgage lender on your request. Adding a name means you are going for refi. it may have different terms & conditions
