we made an offer on a short sale 7 months ago the seller ended up filing bankruptcy and we have no idea where we stand the mortgage co will not speak with us and the sellers realator keeps telling us that its going to happen but its been way to long! we dont even have an acceptance or anything!can you even do a short sale after bankruptcy? please help
when a homeowner who is in the midst of a foreclosure action files a bankruptcy petition, that puts a stay on the foreclosure. in other words, the legal action stops.
i think someone owes you an explanation, nevertheless. who that is, i'm not sure; but i don't think your realtor has done you any favors, nor do i think you're getting any reasonable assistance from anyone else who might be involved in the situation.
do you have an attorney? if so, perhaps he or she can begin digging and find out a bit more.

You must move on, the lender did not agreed with the short sale.

not sure if connie williams and connie are the same person, but both of the responses are appropriate. yes, you may as well move on, since it appears clear that you'll not be successful in this bid; and yes, you should have been advised of what was going on by someone.
