My wife and I were divorced in August 2008 (we were married in June 2007). As part of the divorce decree, she quit claimed the property to me. We both are listed on the loan, I am primary and she is co-signor. We obtained the loans before we were married in Janurary 2007.
I had to complete a modification on my first and second with Wells Fargo, just to keep the house, and a roof over my head.
Today I found out (from Wells Fargo) that my ex-wife has filed for Chapter 7.
How will this effect me?
I do not want to lose my house, that I have worked so hard to keep.
