OK I give up!!! Ya its my fault I tried to save my home and sign a 9.25% on 117,000 after a bankruptcy.. I didnt care about the rate I just wanted to save my home of 15 years.. in the last 7 years I put in a fully finnished basemant and 2 year ago we redone the kitchen , we have put blood and hard work into the house.. I can nolonger keep up the payments...im struggling im at the point to walk away, dont know really how to go about it, I have never missed a payment in this time..im also under waster about 30% and loads of houses around me for sale,, anythought would be great,,
I have asked the morgage lender to lower the rate they said they are not a bank,,,,
hi exodus,

if you have reaffirmed the debts, then you will be personally liable for paying off the debts. if you want to get rid of the property, then you can apply for a deed in lieu of foreclosure. if the lender agrees to it, then you will be able to sell off the property and won't be liable for paying off the deficient balance resulting from sale of the property.

thanks

The only reason im concerned is if we get a huge rain the sump pump wont kick on and could flood the basement.

Hi exodus!

Welcome to forums!

You may cut off the utilities so that you're not charged the utility bills.
